"As many of you know Art has had a difficult summer – in and out of Navy Hospital 4 times with low blood pressure, high blood sugar count, and infections. This last stay lasted a week. Yesterday (Wed) Navy hospital got him full of antibiotics, insulin as needed, pain pills and sent him back to Consulate Health Care where he is in the rehab wing. This is his second trip to rehab. They will work with him to strengthen his arms, legs and torso so he can go home. He still has a lot of pain in his back. He has received 2 of 3 lumbar epidural injections in his back (a week apart) – the 3rd shot was delayed by his week stay at Navy Hospital. This is the first step in pain management to see if they can reduce his debilitating back pain. He got settled at Consulate Health Care yesterday (Wed 9/2). He is in the same room and bed he was in prior to his last trip to Navy Hospital:
